About ArtMoves – What’s in a name?

About ArtMoves – What’s in a name?

(…is it a noun? …a verb?)

Movement does not always imply the physical. We can also be emotionally moved… by Art.
We can be inspired to feel, to act, or perhaps, to understand another point of view.

Visual art can express thoughts and emotions without the same constraints as verbal language. This communication is produced by the artist, yet the observer’s interpretation is unique and is not confined by intention or expectation. Even so, art can bring individual people together, in ways they may not have expected.

ArtMoves is the product of that spirit. Our goals are to provide a broader exposure to regional art, and to facilitate its appreciation among people from all backgrounds and viewpoints. ArtMoves is a multimedia platform utilizing videos, and audio-podcasts, and it is produced and presented by art appreciators and collectors Maj. Dwight Smith and Dr. Regina Nouhan.

We invite you to come along on our journey, as ArtMoves scouts the plentiful talented artists, art-events, and all-things-art, that the central Midwest offers. Move with us, as we travel and explore some interesting art-related topics you may have always wondered about.

ArtMoves!
